WOODCLIFF LAKE

Woodcliff Lake is located in northern NJ and is bordered by Montvale, Park Ridge, Saddle River, and parts of Upper Saddle River. The borough is also conveniently located 20 miles NW of Manhattan making the city easily accessible to commuters. The North American Headquarters for BMW moved into the town back in 2004 and remains there today.

 

Interested in shopping?  Residents can go to Tice’s Corner Marketplace and visit stores such as an Apple Store, Barbour, J. Crew, and much more. For restaurants, there are many places to go including Aldo and Gianni Ristorante, Food Evolution, and Matsu Japanese Restaurant in nearby Hillsdale.

 

Public schooling is offered for the K-8th grades at the Woodcliff Lakes Public Schools, and then students move on to Pascack Hills High School as do students from Montvale.   Along with Pascack Valley High School, they are part of the Pascack Valley Regional high school district with neighboring towns such as Hillsdale and River Vale.  Students also have the option to attend any of the Bergen County schools or any of the private catholic schools that are around the county like Don Bosco or Bergen Catholic.

 

Residents have access to the garden State Parkway and County Route 503 both which help to connect them to the rest of NJ and NY. The town also has its own train station the runs on the Pascack Valley line of the NJ transit service. There is also a bus service that goes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan and a service to the George Washington Bridge Bus Station.

 

The town has a local pond called Old Mill Pond where people can go and swim and relax on the beaches during nice days in the summer. Wood Dale County Park is also located in Woodcliff Lake covering 118 acres and offers residents a variety of activities to do such as playing on the playground, a dog park, tennis courts, athletic fields, and a picnic area.
