Park Ridge is a small town in northern NJ and is neighbored by Montvale, River Vale, Woodcliff Lake, and Hillsdale. The town is home to the headquarters of the Hertz Car Rental company as well as a R&D engineering facility for the Sony Corporation. There are also many shops in the Ridgemont Shopping Center and Tice’s Corner Market. Residents also have access to many nice restaurants like Pesto Italian Bistro, The Ridge Diner, and Yuki Hana.
Residents have access to three public schools, two elementary K-6, and one main high school that’s 7-12. The high school is ranked in the top 100 out of all public high schools in NJ per New Jersey Monthly magazine's 2018 report. Students can also attend the Bergen County technical schools as well as any of the catholic schools in the northern NJ region. One such is Our Lady Mercy Academy which is a K-8 catholic school in town. Each school also offers many sports such as football, baseball, basketball for both boys and girls. Park Ridge has four churches and one temple to choose from religiously as well as having six historical sites throughout town that are registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
County Route 503 runs through Park Ridge connecting it to the NY state boarder and residents also can get to other major highways like the Garden State Parkway which is only a town over. Park Ridge has its own train station that runs to southern NJ as well as NY and NYC. Commuters can also take advantage of the Rockland Coach Buses that have trips to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. The Bear’s Nest is a luxury gated community in Park ridge with many town house styled housing and a community clubhouse for residents including a pool, tennis courts and a floral park. The community is famous for housing many famous people over the years including Richard Nixon, and Tom Coughlin.
