Montvale is located in the Pascack Valley region of NJ and is bordered by Woodcliff Lake, Upper Saddle River, Park Ridge and River Vale, as well as Pearl River and Chestnut Ridge in New York. Montvale is home to a few North American and operational headquarters for large companies such as The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. Benjamin Moore, Ingersoll Rand, and KPMG. Montvale is part of the Tri-boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps which service Park Ridge and Woodcliff Lake as well.
Children in the area attend a K-4 elementary school and a 5-8 middle school which are part of the Montvale public school system before moving onto the local public high school. Pascack Hills is the main public school and it was in the top 100 of all public school in NJ in New Jersey Monthly magazine’s 2018 issue ranking the top public school in the state. Students are also eligible to attend any of the Bergen County schools as well as some private schools around the area. Montvale is home to Saint Joseph’s Regional High School which is a private catholic school with a great history of solid athletics.
Montvale has several excellent restaurants including Bellissimo, Momma’s Kitchen, and Johnny Roll House. Residents have access to the Garden State Parkway and County Route 503 both of which run through town and connect to the rest of NJ and NY. Montvale has its own Train station connecting it to the major terminals in NJ and NYC as well as a bus service that brings commuters into the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
